Swiftair crashed on Žirnių Street in Liepkalnis, a suburban area near the airport,

colliding with a two-story residential building. The crash caused significant destruction, leading to a fire breaking out in the structure.

Images have emerged of the shocking scene shortly after the crash. The 737 allegedly crash

landed in a residential district before skidding hundreds of meters through a wooded area and slamming into a two-story building.

As seen in the footage, the fireball from thecrash illuminated the early-morning sky, temporarily blinding the webcaReports from the Situation

Coordination Division of the Fire Protection and Rescue Department indicate that there were four people aboard the aircraft:

two pilots and two DHL employees.

Emergency responders were able to extract one of the pilots from the cockpit,

who regained consciousness at the scene. Unfortunately,

another individual was pronounced dead, while two others were rushed to the

hospital for emergency medical care.
