**Elon Musk Promises to Rescue Stranded Astronauts**
Elon Musk vowed Tuesday to bring home two astronauts stranded in space for nearly eight months,
criticizing the Biden administration for delays.
President Trump personally requested Musk’s help in rescuing NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams,
who were originally on a weeklong mission aboard Boeing’s Starliner.
Due to technical malfunctions, NASA deemed the capsule unsafe for their return,
planning instead to use a SpaceX capsule—an effort repeatedly delayed.
Musk confirmed that SpaceX will retrieve the astronauts “as soon as possible”
and blamed the Biden administration for leaving them in space for so long.
NASA now expects their return by March or early April.
Meanwhile, Musk is also leading Trump’s newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE),
aiming to cut bureaucracy and streamline federal operations.
Trump described it as a historic effort to eliminate government waste,
with reforms set to conclude by July 4, 2026, as a gift for America’s 250th Independence Anniversary.
