Shania Twain draws attention for her new blonde look at awards show

hania Twain lit up the stage last week as the host of the 2024 People’s Choice Country Music Awards. Her presence was undeniably captivating, yet the reaction was somewhat varied.

Shania, with her distinguished and stellar career in country music, has enchanted fans across the globe for years. Known for her chart-topping hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”, her esteemed role as host at the People’s Choice Country Music Awards wasn’t entirely unexpected.

The event, held at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, on a charming Thursday evening, drew quite a bit of attention. Much of it centered around Shania herself, albeit perhaps not for reasons she would have initially anticipated.

In true celebrity fashion, Shania dazzled in several outfit changes throughout the evening. From a striking white fringe suit complete with a matching cowboy hat to an elegant strapless corset top paired with a satin miniskirt and black cape, she captivated the audience.

Among her ensemble highlights was a breathtaking shimmering red gown, which the People’s Choice Country Awards praised on their official social media. With grace and flair, Shania, now 59, undoubtedly stole the show.

However, not all reactions were complimentary. Following the awards, some voiced their critique online, focusing partly on her hosting and partly on her fashion choices.

Critics seemed fixated on the idea that Shania no longer resembled her former self, particularly targeting her blonde hairstyle. Some even went as far as claiming she had altered her appearance too much.

One person commented, “Totally ruined her looks,” while another remarked, “Yikes, that doesn’t suit her. Blonde not so much either.”

A third voice added, “She’s not recognizable now; too sad.”

Among requests for her previous look, a fan implored, “Bring back the brunette [color!]”

There’s nostalgia in the air, with fans longing for the “Shania from the 1990s.”

The People’s Choice Country Awards’ social media also highlighted Shania in a distinct all-denim ensemble on the red carpet. Though some remained critical, her supportive fan base rallied to her side.

One admirer exclaimed, “This look DOES impress me much!”

Another enthusiastically endorsed, “Looking like a beautiful Barbie doll with that hair. Love it!”

Adding to the chorus, a devoted fan professed, “You look fantastic, my queen Shania Twain, obsessed with you.”

Did you have a chance to see the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards? What were your thoughts on Shania Twain’s role as host? We’d love to hear in your comments.
