El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele released footage of migrants arriving
at a high-security prison under a U.S. policy allowing mass deportations of suspected gang members.
The law, previously used to justify World War II internments, was revived by President Trump, who declared an ‘invasion’ of criminal immigrants,
The transfers were arranged between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Bukele,
who claimed many deportees belonged to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
Trump praised the move on Truth Social, calling the migrants “monsters”
and blaming Biden’s administration for letting them in.A federal judge attempted to block the order mid-flight, but the White House defended the action, insisting it was lawful.
